Are there qualifications to become a member?

Membership is open to everyone in our service area. Our general service area is a thirty-mile radius around Saratoga Springs. Membership is annual and starts in June and ends in July of the following year.

How much is membership?

Annual membership is $40. Seniors and Vets receive a 50% discount from the annual fee. Members must provide proof of age or military service every year. Membership fee is non refundable. Each membership covers one delivery address. Members are allowed to leave the group at any time with a 30-day notice.

How long does it take to become a member?

Once we receive your application and membership fee our chosen fuel supplier will contact you to set up an account. If you own your propane tank, the supplier will need to conduct safety tests before filling. If you don’t own your propane tank, it may take up to a month for our supplier to install a tank. If oil is your main heating fuel, the process takes less than a day.

Service and delivery?

All of our suppliers offer quick delivery and emergency service ’round the clock. If you are out of fuel or suspect a problem, call the supplier as soon as you are aware. All service is provided by the supplier and NOT BY Power For People.

Can I lock in a price?

We do not offer locked prices. We believe locked prices are a form of insurance and are always weighted to favor the supplier. Though our price is not always the lowest, it usually is. The volume we purchase as a group allows us to negotiate an extremely aggressive price. Working together, we save.

Once I become a member, do I have to buy from you?

If you own your tank, you can purchase from whomever you please.
